Nectarine

Nectarines only grow on peach trees.  Peaches and nectarines have a similar flavor, but nectarines are considerably sweeter and have a more fragrant flavor. Nectarines have soft but firm succulent flesh in addition to a sweet and aromatic flavor. Nectarines' sweetness depends on how ripe they are; the colors identify the various cultivars but do not affect the flavor.
